Susan MacInnes, DVM

Dr. Susan MacInnes grew up in Woodland Hills, CA. She attended University of California at Davis as an undergraduate and received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology. For veterinary school, Susan attended Purdue University and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. From 1990 to 1995, she worked at a daytime veterinary practice in Half Moon Bay, CA, and in the Comparative Medicine Department at Stanford University. Dr. MacInnes joined South Peninsula Veterinary Emergency Clinic in 1996 as an emergency clinician. She also owns a mobile veterinary practice in Half Moon Bay. Her professional interests include emergency medicine and surgery.

Susan is single, but lives on a ranch full of pets, including 4 dogs, 6 cats, 2 goats, 4 horses, a scarlet macaw, a rabbit, chickens, and tortoises. Her hobbies include dressage, painting (oil & pastels), sewing, quilting and woodworking. She is a member of the International Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the US Equestrian Federation, and both the California and US Dressage Federations.
